The Hunter Valley, which is only two hours from Sydney, is one of the most popular wedding destinations in New South Wales. With good reason. The scenery is breathtaking, with rolling hills and vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see. It also has some of the country’s best food and wine. There is plenty of accommodation available, ranging from private homes to resorts, making it ideal for a destination wedding. It also has some of Australia’s best wedding venues.

While it will not be difficult to find incredible quality wedding venues in the beautiful Hunter Valley, it may be difficult to choose just one for your special day.

But what an exciting decision to have to make! With breathtaking scenery, this gourmet wine and food paradise has no shortage of world-class wedding venues.

Whatever the theme of your personal love story, you’ll find the perfect venue on this list.

Adams Mountain

Adams Peak is unquestionably one of the best and most popular venues in the Hunter Valley.

It is a family-run business, and they are wonderful to work with. It has some of the best views in the Hunter, on-site lodging, and a variety of ceremony and reception locations.

One of the best features for couples is that you can book the entire weekend. It can hold up to 160 people.

Circa 1876 & The Convent

Circa 1876 is a lovely rustic restaurant owned by The Convent Escarpment Group. I’ve lost count of how many weddings I’ve photographed there, but it’s a lot. And if you choose this location, you can be assured of a beautiful wedding.

On-site lodging, a lovely outdoor ceremony location, excellent photo opportunities, and an incredible restaurant with excellent service. It includes everything you’ll need for a dream wedding. Up to 150 people can be accommodated.

Hunter Valley Weddings by Enzo

Enzo Weddings Hunter Valley is one of my favourite wedding venues and is located at IronBark Hill Vineyard. I’ve shot at this location numerous times. It has a modern rustic elegance to it, in my opinion. And I wholeheartedly recommend it.

It has on-site lodging, a lovely air-conditioned chapel, and reception venues that overlook the vines. It also has 30 acres of land, so there are plenty of photo opportunities. The staff is fantastic, and it can accommodate up to 150 guests.

The Chapel at Peppers Creek and the Barrel Room

Peppers Creek is a rustic vineyard wedding venue in Pokolbin’s heart.

Peppers Creek Chapel is a small sandstone chapel nestled among the vines. The side of the chapel even opens up, allowing more people to see and providing a pleasant breeze throughout the ceremony.

The reception room, Peppers Creek Barrel Room, does not get any more rustic than this. Which can seat up to 180 people.

Mindaribba House

Mindaribba House is a family-run business located on the Paterson River’s banks. If you book the property for your wedding, you will have the entire property to yourself.

Every year, they invest in the venue in order to improve it. They recently built an Indian Tent with a polished concrete floor. So you now have two options for your reception room and a wet weather backup plan for your ceremony.

There is on-site lodging, multiple ceremony location options, and great photo opportunities due to the property’s size. Mindaribba House is an excellent choice.

Wallalong Residence

The same owners run Wallalong House as they do Mindaribba House, and they do an equally good job here.

At this incredible property, you can spend the entire day from start to finish. The historic house offers on-site lodging. The ceremony is usually held between two massive fig trees with a country backdrop. The reception is held in the permanent Indian Tent. It can hold up to 150 people.

Margan Wines & Restaurant

Margan Wines and Restaurant has one of the best mountain views in the Hunter Valley, as well as one of the most beautiful barrel rooms of any Hunter wedding venue.

It is probably best known for its incredible wines, which consistently win numerous awards. However, it is a lovely location for a wedding. There’s a lot of land here, with vineyards, sheep, and alpacas. There is no on-site accommodation, but there are numerous options in the Broke and Pokolbin areas.

Wandin Valley Estate

Wandin Valley Estate is a working winery that can host a wedding. It is a large property with on-site lodging. There are also a lot of Kangaroos!

There are three options for wedding ceremonies. The Barrel Room is also an excellent wet weather backup ceremony location. The reception will take place at the Cricketers Pavillion, which overlooks the cricket oval. Up to 120 people can be accommodated.

Tallavera Grove’s Bistro Molines

Bistro Molines is a fantastic restaurant in the Tallavera Grove vineyard. It has received numerous ‘chef’s hat’ awards and is regarded as one of the best restaurants in the Hunter Valley.

It is situated at the top of a scenic hill in Mount View and offers some of the best views in the Hunter Valley.

There is a small house on the property where you can prepare. And there are rows and rows of vineyards, making it ideal for photography. It has a capacity of 90 people.

Wollombia redleaf

Redleaf Wollombi is a luxury country retreat located on 100 acres of land in the historic town of Wollombi.

The house itself is a large Tuscan-inspired home that can sleep 8 to 12 people. The house is divided into two sections so that a couple can get ready separately while still being far enough apart that they don’t see each other.

The Redleaf Barn can accommodate up to 60 guests, or a marquee can be hired for larger groups.

Ben Ean’s

Ben Ean was formerly known as Lindemans Winery, and the venue has undergone extensive renovations since the name change. And I must say, the changes are fantastic!

It is right in the heart of Pokolbin, and it has one of the most beautiful photographic landscapes. Rolling hills covered in rows and rows of vines, with a single tree perched on top of a hill.

The ceremony can be held in the courtyard, which looks fantastic after the renovation, and there is a large reception room.

Tocal Farmhouse

Tocal Homestead is a heritage-listed homestead in a beautiful rural, country setting near Paterson.

There is some on-site lodging available. Outside the homestead, under the giant fig trees, you can hold your ceremony. And your reception will be held in the barn, which has stunning views of the countryside.

The property is quite large, with old buildings, barns, trees, and paddocks, so there are plenty of photo opportunities. Up to 120 people can be accommodated.

Albion Farm Gardens.

Albion Farm Gardens encompasses 100 acres of farmland as well as 25 acres of beautifully manicured gardens and a lake. With this stunning venue, you get the best of both worlds.

There are numerous locations on the property where you can hold your wedding ceremony. “The Barn” is one of the most lovely and rustic barns I’ve seen for a wedding.

It does not provide wedding receptions, but they do recommend a few nearby locations.

Palmers Lane, Bimbadgen

Bimbadgen Palmers Lane is a new wedding venue in the Hunter Valley, but it is quickly becoming one of the most popular.

It was built specifically for weddings, so it combines modern elegance with rustic charm. There is on-site lodging available. Lovely options for your wedding ceremony. And your wedding reception can be held either outside under the stars or indoors in air-conditioned comfort.

It is also situated on a large estate with views of mountains and vineyards. It’s a fantastic wedding venue.
